Coming from Spain and sometimes much further away, a wind from the south blows down our Pyrenean valleys, bringing with it the scent of adventure. Hot, and charged with sand from the Sahara, it sweeps over the countryside, leaving a bizarrely golden, strange atmosphere, which awakens the desire to travel. This wind is called La Balaguere .
This is the name we gave to our company on its creation. La Balaguere is born from a simple idea: to share our love of the Pyrenees, to make our living by organizing walking trips. Since then, probably carried by the south wind, we have gone further afield to discover countries where the authenticity of the traditions and of the welcome exists in the present day.
Classified as a World Heritage site, the massif Ordesa-Mont Perdu forms, with the Cirque de Gavarnie, an incomparable and magical place; from starting points in comfortable hotels we will lead you to discover it ...
At the confluence of the Circque de Gavarnie and Troumouse, the small village of Gedre will be your base camp for exploring the north side of this gigantic mass. Sylvie will welcome you warmly into their beautiful hotel 3 ***, which combines tradition and modernity, you will feast on lamb dishes of the region, brown trout from local streams, and black Gascon pork ...From here we will go to the foot of the Grande Cascade, and to the famous Breche de Roland, before switching to the south side: a striking contrast with fascinating geology, discover the vastness of the Ordesa canyon.
